Terms of Use
Effective 7 September 2026 · Please read these before using Good Envelope.
The short version
- Good Envelope is a budgeting tool, not financial advice. The numbers are yours to enter and yours to act on.
- Subscriptions are billed by Apple and renew automatically until you cancel in your App Store settings.
- Your budget data belongs to you. We only handle it to run the app.
- Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By downloading or using Good Envelope (the “app”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Good Envelope is operated by Mohammad Issa, an individual developer (“we”, “us”), not by a company.
2. Your account
You can use Good Envelope without an account. If you create one to sync between devices, you are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
3. What the app is — and is not
Good Envelope helps you plan and track your own spending using the envelope method. It is not financial, tax, investment, or legal advice, and we are not a bank or a financial institution. Every figure the app shows is calculated from data you entered. Decisions you make with it are yours.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Good Envelope is free to use with core features. Good Envelope Pro is a paid auto-renewing subscription.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, at the then-current price.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device’s App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms, not by us. We are happy to help you make the request.
Prices may change. We will give notice in the app before a change affects your renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
5. Acceptable use
Please do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or resell the app; use it to break the law; try to access other people’s accounts or our systems; or interfere with the service, including by overloading it with automated requests.
6. Your content
Your budget data is yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, back up, and sync it so the app works for you. We claim no ownership of it and do not use it to train anything.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the app running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
8. Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements, that it will be uninterrupted, or that the data it displays will be free of errors introduced during entry or sync.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, or lost data arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Keep your own backups. Use the app’s export feature regularly for anything you cannot afford to lose.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms, and we will explain why where we can.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Amman, Jordan have jurisdiction over any dispute. Nothing here removes consumer rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
12. Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we will change the date at the top of this page and announce material changes in the app. Continuing to use Good Envelope after a change means you accept the updated terms.
